AVAYA OPENS AN ONLINE STORE FOR CLOUD-BASED UNIFIED COMMUNICATION

Avaya is an American multinational technology company, will now be selling the cloud-based Unified Communications (UC) and contact center through its online stores. The self-service website will be an e-commerce website for unified communication products and will help the company compete in Public cloud services. Avaya remains one of the tops most Unified Communication vendors in the world with over 140-million users.

The website will help the businesses to buy different unified communication products for multiple cloud providers. The business can choose different products and also opt for multi-cloud options. The website will also help the channel partners reach their potential customers using the website.

The subscription for the Avaya products grew by almost 500 percent in the fiscal year 2018 according to the financial reports of the company. The UC products offered on public cloud versions and contact centers based on the spoken communication technology acquired in 2018.

Avaya over the years has mostly been focused on providing private cloud products. Private cloud products are more expensive than a public cloud and used mostly by the larger businesses. Avaya is currently planning to bring new products that can target the traditional small and mid-size businesses. Cisco also recently launched a Cisco Webex after the acquisition of BroadSoft. Avaya is currently looking for a turnaround, the year-long decline in the sales of Unified Communication (UC) products.
